About Us
Hope Hong Kong is an organisation founded by women with first-hand experience of the trials of infertility and pregnancy loss. Our aim is to provide support, information, advice and understanding to women and men dealing with infertility and pregnancy loss in Hong Kong.
Consistent with the global trend, it is estimated that 1 in 6 couples in Hong Kong will experience infertility. We believe everyone facing challenges in building their family deserves a supportive community who can offer guidance and understanding.
Our Objectives

The Beginnings of Hope Hong Kong
Hope Hong Kong had its beginnings in 2013 when Jenny Ostling and Laura Weeks decided to start a support group for people suffering from miscarriage and fertility challenges in Hong Kong. Both women had struggled with infertility and pregnancy loss themselves and knew how lonely and difficult it could be. Not finding any other Hong Kong based support groups, they started Hope Hong Kong as an online forum where women could ask questions and seek advice from others on the same journey. They named the group Hope Hong Kong after Laura’s daughter Hope who died in utero at 27.5 weeks and was born two days later on 1 November 2009.
Through their work with Hope Hong Kong, Jenny and Laura have helped countless women and couples by providing a space of insight, understanding and solace when most needed. We are grateful to have their continued support.
